The room was big and bright and we had a balcony. The hotel was in a nice spot at the back of the town, close to the centre, but not in it so it was peaceful. The walk to the beach took 5 minutes and was very pleasant. The inside was clean and nicely furnished and the food in the hotel restaurant was good and resonably priced. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was a bit disappointing, basically consisting of a piece of cake and toast.

The location was great, only a 5 minute walk to the beach in Cavi.
The staff was rude and unhelpful. My room was dirty - there was a layer of dirt on the floor. And the bed was very uncomfortable.

Great deal for the money. The owners did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Nice location with a few minutes walk to the sea. The restaurant and breakfast were excellent.
I knew the rooms had showers and sinks, but no toilets. This wasn't a problem as there were several well kept WCs on each floor.

We found this hotel suited our needs entirely. It is very clean and the staff are very friendly. It was a good base for us, as we did have a car to visit further afield. If you can live without the extras of an upmarket hotel, then I couldn’t recommend this highly enough. The slight inconvenience of not having a toilet in the room was more than made up by the lovely staff and the great value for money this hotel offers.

We had a very nice and quiet stay. The hotel is situated on a 2 min walk to the beach. No tv or fridge on the room but you really don't need it and what can you expect for these prices! Great price quality and English speaking staff. They make excellent brownies and cakes so I really can recommend this place!
With some new seats in the garden it would be more inviting to sit there

Being there on Easter Sunday it was nice to have a local traditional meal offered
A little difficult to find & a long walk from railway station. Would recommend catching taxi or know what bus to catch .

The restaurant was good, and a good value too. We went to cinque terra for a day trip, which was beautiful!
Its a bit far away from the train station, but we knew what we were getting into.

The location is a little far out. The room is a little basic, however the staff are brilliant . The hotel offers fantastic value for money. The room are basic but very clean. I was originally travelling on business purposes to Genoa and was unexpectantly joined by my wife and 4yr old son who wanted to see the countryside. This Hotel was great, the staff were polite and very understanding of children. The location was near to the train station and local to the hotel are great restaurants. I am very pleased to recommend this Hotel as they made my time in Italy very enjoyable. Thank you to all the staff and managers I spoke to. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The interior design and comfort of the rooms at Pineta Dell'lguana was far superior when compared with other budget hotels we encountered throughout our trip. The rooms were immaculately presented and even the experience of using a shared toilet was no problem as it appeared to be cleaned at several points throughout the day. Furthermore, the staff exceeded their duty in offering help and assistance during our stay. In addition, the hotel was clearly run by a family with a passion for good, honest food. They served a delicious home-made three course meal in the evening, for a very reasonable price.

nice staff, delightful dinner, quiet location close to beach,
Dinner cost 15e per person with 1 dish and 1 desert included. Additional dishes are available but for additional bucks. It might be ok when compared to another restaurants in that location, but it's quite much for us (we paid 70e for two diners for 2 persons).

It was appropriate hotel for us. It was reasonably priced compared to other hotels in Liguria. Don't expect luxury living, but I can recommend it without any problems. The hotel was clean, quiet, breakfasts were good and the staff is helpful. Just keep in mind that there are shared toilets in the hallway.

It was a single star budget hotel. It did what it says on the can. It was clean, comfortable and well sited. The staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly. The food was simple typical Ligurian fare... Linguine al genovese ...to die for. It was walkable to both Sestre Levante and Lavagna across the beach and over the hills for a more romantic view of the sea. We had a thoroughly lovely time.
No internet access. I think Wi-Fi access is a must for all travellers these days and especially so as our flights were cancelled at the last minute! However I do realize that compared to the uk, Norway and France from my personal experience, WiFi provision throughout Italy is available but only if you register. Clearly the nation hasnot adopted the Smartphone yet.

Friendly staff - very good help from staff member Rayon. Short walk to beach/sea.
A bit vague about evening food availability and pricing - food was quite good but not great value. Breakfast was good.
